Goethe's own free material gives an adult two practice sets. Once you've done those, you're out.
One payment of €9.99. No subscription, no renewal. Practice every one of them as many times as you like.
Not a video course, not a PDF. The exam's own question types, in the order you'll sit them, and a response to every answer you give.
Reading runs 65 minutes across five parts, and each part works differently. You practice every one of them here, 101 reading sets in total, with the correct answer and the reason behind it appearing the moment you commit rather than at the end of a mock.

Submit it and it comes back with every mistake marked in your own words, the reason behind each one, a corrected version, and a score on the four criteria the exam uses.

The exam expects 3,256 words and all of them are here as flashcards. Any word you tap while reading joins your own deck, and spaced repetition schedules each card for the moment it is about to slip out of memory.
The citizenship application asks for proof of B1 German and a pass in the Einbürgerungstest. That is 460 questions on German law, history and institutions, written in German, to be learned while you are still preparing for the language exam.
Both are covered here. You practice only the ten questions set for your own Bundesland, every answer is explained in your own language, and your readiness for each exam is tracked in one place. Included in the €9.99.
It doesn't replace a course — reaching B1 takes 350 to 650 lessons, and nothing at this price changes that. It does the one thing none of the others do for under €10: respond to your own German, the moment you write it.

Use it alongside your course, or on its own after you've worked through the two official sets. The exam itself costs €170 to €259 depending on the centre, and €69 to €104 to retake a single module. This costs about one hour of a tutor, once.
Common questions about the Goethe-Zertifikat B1: format, costs, preparation, modelltest and more.
A Goethe B1 Modelltest is a full-length practice exam modeled on the Goethe-Zertifikat B1 exam format. It covers all four modules: Lesen (65 min, 5 parts), Hören (40 min, 4 parts), Schreiben (60 min, 3 parts), and Sprechen (15 min per pair, 3 parts).
The Goethe-Zertifikat B1 is an internationally recognized German language certificate issued by the Goethe-Institut, certifying CEFR B1 level. It has four sections and is required for German citizenship (Einbürgerung) and permanent residence.

You need at least 60 out of 100 points in each module. Each module is scored separately. If you fail one module you only retake that module — €69–104 rather than the full €170–259.
Both are accepted for German citizenship. Goethe B1 Lesen has 5 parts; TELC B1 has 4. Full comparison →
Most learners need 3–6 months from A2 level. Daily practice of 30–60 minutes accelerates readiness, especially for Lesen.

I need to get the B1 certificate to apply for permanent residence. The app has clear structure, realistic voices in the listening, and very nice speaking modules. I feel more confident now, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
I'm preparing for my B1 exam, and used to find and download multiple pdf, with different formats. But then found this app, that has a very similar format to the official Goethe preparation materials. So far so good, I'm already feeling more confident solving the tasks. Hopefully will pass my exam.
One thing that I'm still struggling with is sprechen, it needs a bit of improvement.
